Trip to Branson...Visit with Grandparents

My folks are in town this week from AZ. It's been a long week with a few technical hiccups. But it's also been a nice visit. Two days ago we made a trip to Branson to visit with them and also to visit with an old friend from AZ, Sujay. It was a very rainy day, so our time was spent eating at Steak & Shake followed by a trip to Bass Pro.
The beautiful foliage of downtown Branson.

Tanycomo lake already has a skim on ice on it. I believe this is a blue herron. We watched the geese on the side. They didn't seem at all interested in being in the freezing water. Tanycomo is a cold water lake. Brrr....

Larkin, Ashton, Sujay, Hunter, Tahlia & Aubrey by the fish tank at Bass Pro.
We will definitely need a week of just resting, especially Tahlia. She has missed out on all of her naps and was up late last night past 1 AM. (Ok, another reason I am thankful for homeschooling.)

Sounds fun. I enjoy Branson although it can be rather expensive if you don't know where to go...Off the beaten path.

I love home schooling too. It is so flexible and yet children learn so much more.

Thanks for sharing.
